February 14th, continued
The Izumiya greenhouse was huge and very neat with a great group of fish to choose from.

Carl, Hoshino-san, Senichi Mano and his worker consider several Koi.

Next, we go to Marusei Koi Farm, where we met Seitaro Hirasawa for tea.

Of course, tea cups in Niigata are served on Koi plates!

A group of Nisai at Yagosen Koi Farm! Excellent quality koi of many varities.

The little Tosai are always hungry at Hiroi Koi Farm - they seem to be saying "Pour food here!"

Kuniyasu Hiroi was feeding the babies at least once an hour!

Carl tries shoveling the Japanese way. This sure beats lifting the snow- just push!

Tadashi Ogawa of Ogawa Koi Farm. He had the most amazing shiro utsuris, and some lovely Kohaku as well.

Traditional Japanese dinner at the hotel. Starting from the left, the guests were Masaharu Hoshino, Hosekai, Kase, Sean Kelly, and of course our host - Carl Forss.
