Today I visited Chogorou, famous for his ginrin, platinum ogon and ginrin platinum Ogon. It's my fifth season buying from him, and the third year that we've purchased his very fine goshki, sanke,and gin rin goshki sanke. His platinum ogon always take all the major awards at the All-Japan Koi show, and are very sought after by koi collectors.

This is a large pond next to the greenhouse. Every year there are millions* of 2-year-old silvery-white platinum ogons.

* Well, maybe a slight exaggeration.

A good example of his platinums. These are 3-year-olds, one a ginrin and one's a "plain vanilla" platinum ogon. They have the characteristics that has made him famous: high sheen, good scalation, good body confirmation, clean heads and perfect gin rin.
